About:
League of Legends was built using the same principles as the wildly popular Defense of the Ancients (DotA) mod for Warcraft III. It gives each player control of a powerful champion unit in a team-based battle to destroy each other’s bases. There are several real-time strategy elements, like AI controlled foot soldiers and turrents which can’t be directly controlled, but also other roleplaying features like leveling abilities and buying better equipment, which provide a lot of variety and flexibility.

The players either play in teams of 3 vs 3 or 5 vs 5. The main target is to destroy the enemy nexus, which represents the center of their base. A match usually takes between 30 and 60 minutes and you’ll gain Influence Points (IP) as well as Experience Points (EP) at the end of each match, which will allow you to fine-tune your champion’s skills or even unlock new champions.
