If you’re working with multiple monitors under Windows you probably might have experienced the same issue I discovered when opening programs on one of the screens – they’d always open on the wrong monitor.

I’ve done some research and found a pretty easy solution which worked with all applications I tried so far:

1. Start the application which opens its window on the wrong monitor
2. Resize the window from full screen to windowed. If it’s not opening in full screen mode, just resize the window.
3. Move the window to the correct screen.
4. Close the window.

Once you open the application again, it will magically do so on the correct screen. New windows will now open on the displays they belong to.
