I got this error today after I messed around just a little bit with my winecfg.

Turned out I changed stuff with my wine drives and couldn’t execute anything outside of drive_c anymore.

The solution is fairly simple, just fire up a Terminal, type in winecfg, choose the Drives tab and add a new drive (e.g. drive Z:). The default path will be / and this is already everything that’s needed to be done there. Apply your changes, click on OK and it should work again.
